WHO WE ARE

Our Calling

Lake Cities is a people who truly believe we are called to love and serve God, one another, and our neighbors.

Our Course

Together, in dynamic ways, methodical and mysterious, big and small, we strive to worship God by loving and serving like Jesus through being lead by the Spirit.

Our Character

We Seek.    We look for the kingdom and long for the king.

As the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more. 2 Corinthians 3:18b NLT

We Serve.    We help anyone in need with everything we got.

"God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God's many kinds of blessings." 1 Pet 4:10 LB

"Your attitude must be like my own, for I, the Messiah, did not come to be served, but to serve and to give my life." Mat 20:28 LB

"If you insist on saving your life, you will lose it. Only those who throw away their lives for my sake and for the sake of the Good News will ever know what it means to really live." Mark 8:35 LB

"Whoever wants to be great must become a servant." Mark 10:43 Msg

Serving one another in times of need Helping others in our community Caring for those in need around the world

We Share.    We live in community. We prevail in unity.

"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." 1 John 1:7

We experience community in Life Groups
We share fellowship at our Midweek Meals
We discover family intergenerational gatherings

We Shine.    We radiate the good news daily — near and far; with word and deed.

"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.' Go 'therefore and 'make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 'teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20

"I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'" Acts 26:17-18

"...you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:7

We believe we are blessed to be a blessing
We live out the "go" of the gospel daily
We pursue holiness and bear witness to the resurrection with our lives
We extend hospitality to strangers
We invite the unchurched to our gatherings and into our community
