They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship... All the believers were together and had everything in common. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts …. (Acts 2:42a, 44a, 46b) NIV
We believe that God designed people to need community. God sent his son to die for us with the ultimate goal of drawing us back into community with him. Jesus' work also destroys the dividing wall (Eph. 2:14) between those who are in him and unites them to God as one body (Eph 2:16). Relationships are therefore very important to us at Lake Cities Church of Christ. We encourage everyone to find a small group they can belong to, where they can serve, and where they can build the strong, Christ-centered relationships God designed his people to need.
The following is a list of small groups at Lake Cities. Please contact those below if you are interested in a group. Please also contact the church office if you have any questions.
This diverse group consists primarily of seniors –singles and couples, some retired, some still working- who enjoy a time of fellowship, a well-planned meal, and a devotional and prayer time together. The meeting is hosted by various members, and members strive to encourage each other in their Christian walk. This group also encourages its members to become involved in the various annual bridging activities of Lake Cities. Sometimes, they combine with other groups for special functions.
