The Ripple Effect
What if an angel of God came to you and said, “Go” would you? Would you cast aside comfort for the call and set aside success to surrender the Spirit if summoned? Philip did. He was directed to the desert. The ultimate mission was unknown at the time of the angel’s arriving. His desert destination a mystery as the Spirit sends him. But he goes. He meets a stranger, sits with him, and shares the sweet news of the Savior with him. The Ethiopian responds to his new found understanding of the Christ who died for him as we all should – with a life long commitment to live for Him. The chariot pulls over the gospel rolls on and the outsider becomes an insider in the waters of the desert. The ripples are real reminders of redemption and are the result of the Redeemers impact. Do you think Philip could have perceived the powerful impact on the life of a perfect stranger? Better yet, do you have any idea of the plans God’s purposed for you to make an impact? Join Lake Cities as we seek out our special Spirit’s sending in a four part series on the eighth chapter of Acts, called the Ripple Effect.
